Wednesday 31 st Oct 2018, TEN Connect Session we have Mr. Mahesh Kalsekar, VP, Commercial Strategy and Business Development at GSK (GlaxoSmithKline) India. Mr. Mahesh Kalsekar will expound on the topic Mergers & Acquisitions – a Growth Driver for Business. He will elucidate on Understanding Granularity of Mergers & Acquisitions with case studies in Pharmaceutical Industry.

Mr. Mahesh Kalsekar is responsible for creating strategies for the company to Grow Business or Improve Profitability, or both. And as part of Business Development, he handles M&A (Acquisition or Divestment of Brands), Licensing Projects, Supply and Distribution Initiatives amongst others.

He started his business journey in pharmaceutical retail with a chemist outlet (Novacare Chemists) in Vikhroli, Mumbai in Feb 1991. Soon diversified into operating as a wholesale Distributor / stockist in FMCG & Pharmaceutical products reaching out to all retail outlets in Mumbai..

 Mr. Mahesh Kalsekar has 24 years of experience in the healthcare industry across functions like Business Development, Business Operations, Commercial Strategy, Consulting and Market Research. He has spent last ten years in a Leadership Role in three organizations – IMS Health, Takeda and GSK, where he has gained thorough understanding of this segment and has successfully delivered a few projects.

Mr. Mahesh Kalsekar has done his Graduation in Pharmacy from Bombay College of Pharmacy and holds an MBA from Sydenham Institute of Management. Besides that he is a certified ADP (Accelerated Delivery & Performance) practitioner.

Present day we hear about Valuations, Mergers and Acquisitions across industry.
