Coming Wed, 13th March 2019, we have with us Advocate Sanjay Dwivedi, who will be speaking on GST Framework and Dynamics of E-way Bill, Input Tax Credit & Reverse Charge Mechanism for Entrepreneurs.

Mr. Sanjay Dwivedi is a practicing Advocate handling taxation and corporate laws for past 28 years. For 17 years he served as a government officer in the department of Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax. In 2007 he resigned and established his law firm named ‘SRD Legal’ based at Mumbai. He heads a team of 4 lawyers, one Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary. His firm handles matters relating to:

• GST, Customs
• Insolvency & Bankruptcy
• ArbitrationCompanies Act
• Income Tax

 He regularly appears before the Customs Tribunal, NCLT and High Court.He is regular advisor to several companies and has clients spread across the country. He has been conducting seminars on GST, Central Excise & Service Tax and has been presenting his budget analysis before industry associations.
He is Chairman of the Indirect Tax committee of COSIA and has played role in drafting of the GST law.

• Had occasion to discussion GST issues with the Revenue Secretary Mr. Hasmukh Adhia for 45 minutes in a one-to-one meeting.
• Made presentation before Economic Advisor in the Commerce Ministry as well as in the MSME Ministry on behalf of COSIA
• Out of 23 suggestions made by him, 13 were accepted either fully or partially and incorporated in the revised draft of the GST Act.

First edition of his book “A Practical Guide to GST” was published in August, 2017. The second edition is due in June 2019.
