Scaling up your business by Mr. R. Kannan

Coming Wednesday, 24th OCT 2018, TEN Member Mr. R. Kannan, Founder and owner of Novacare Group of companies will be speaking on the topic “Scaling up your business”

Mr. R. Kannan, is a commerce graduate from Mumbai University. He was initially employed with Cipla Ltd as Executive-corporate affairs and worked with Cipla in various capacities for almost nine years, before starting a business of his own.

He started his business journey in pharmaceutical retail with a chemist outlet (Novacare Chemists) in Vikhroli, Mumbai in Feb 1991. Soon diversified into operating as a wholesale Distributor / stockist in FMCG & Pharmaceutical products deca durabolin injection reaching out to all retail outlets in Mumbai..

 Mr. R. Kannan has’nt looked back thereafter. Today Novacare has over 270 employees and pan India presence in ten States through its ten branches viz. Mumbai, Goa, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Dehradun, Jaipur, Indore and Kolkata supplying to over 1000 Hospitals & Govt Institutions & Healthcare establishments. In Goa, Novacare has two warehouses in Verna apart from a manufacturing plant for Corrugation boxes.

Very recently in Aug 2018, he hived off his Hospital business into a separate entity named Novacare Healthcare Solutions Pvt Ltd (which excludes Goa business vertical) and divested it to Entero Healthcare Solutions Pvt Ltd which is funded by OrbiMed, World’s largest healthcare focused fund from NY, USA.

He has invested in Entero Healthcare which is consolidating the highly fragmented Pharmaceutical distribution in India and continues to lead Novacare Healthcare Solutions Pvt Ltd as its Director and Novacare Drug Specialties Pvt Ltd as its Founder & Managing Director.
